本地电影商：陈靓瑄、白薇秀、谢宛谕有条件上大银幕

　　电影商直批，本地七公主仅3人有条件上大银幕！

　　她们分别是陈靓瑄，白薇秀与谢宛谕。

　　七公主在小荧幕叱吒风云，但上大银幕拍电影者印象中不多，本地东方天蝎营运总裁林德透露一年希望投资三至五部电影，但问起七公主中，谁最适合拍电影，说话一向大胆率直的他就表示：“我看好陈靓瑄，白薇秀与谢宛谕。”

　　至于欧萱，姚懿珊，刘芷绚与瑞恩，林德未表示看好。

Revisiting Singapore’s good ol’ days ‘Together’

SINGAPORE : Arriving at MediaCorp for the ceremony to mark the start of filming of upcoming Channel 8 blockbuster drama “Together”, I couldn’t help but feel for a second that I had been transported back in time or was at some flashy ge tai performance.

Hair was slicked and parted to the side and bell bottoms were aplenty for the guys, while the girls sported high beehive dos, reminiscent of ladies from the 1960s.

It was not until last year’s “The Little Nyonya” that has a period drama of Singapore been shot or created so much buzz for a relatively long time.

Understandably, the same production crew, scriptwriter and lead actress (Jeanette Aw) are back one year later, with what is hoped to be yet another blast from the past blockbuster drama, eager to bring audiences ‘together’ yet again.

The drama which is set to air in November chronicles the struggles of six youngsters in Singapore’s post-independence era, from the 1960s to the 1990s.

Interestingly enough, the leads in the series, Aw, Dai Yangtian, Elvin Ng, Zhang Zhen Huan, newcomer Kola Zhou and Eelyn Kok, are too young to barely even have any impression of that era.

What’s more three of these six – Dai, Zhang and Zhou – are from China and didn’t grow up learning Singapore’s history in school.

Still that’s not going to stop any of them from imbibing the spirit of the times.

“I visited the museum at Outram Park, well I actually had been to the museum before when I first came to Singapore,” revealed Zhang, who’s acting in what’s considered to be his second major role.

Despite acting in a drama which was set in olden Singapore just a year ago, lead actress Aw also revealed she had to do her fair share of homework.

“I asked a lot of people born in that time and they told me that they [used to] sleep at 12am and wake up at 3am to do housework… I think it’s a lifestyle that’s changed and it’s quite amazing to be women of those times,” said Aw who takes on the role as a daughter of a gambler and alcoholic (Wang Yu Qing), forced to make a living as a dance hostess.

Plain candid or just catty? The Queen’s blunt comments on the princesses in Caldecott Hill have drawn fire from viewers, leaving her bewildered and helpless

IT’S not easy being the Queen.

Even before the furore over Zoe Tay’s wrinkles has died down, the 41-year-old Queen (or ex-Queen, as some insist) of Caldecott is facing more criticism.

This time, it’s for an interview that the actress did more than four months ago.

Actor Chen Hanwei, Zoe’s close friend of 21 years, felt it’s the price she has to pay for being number one.

At issue were Zoe’s comments on the Seven Princesses featured in the March issue of Style magazine. The seven are rising stars Jeanette Aw, Joanne Peh, Jesseca Liu, Rui En, Fiona Xie, Dawn Yeoh and Felicia Chin.

扛下年度大戏《当我们同在一起》　欧萱压力大

欧萱又撑起半边天，扛下年度大戏收视重担。

　　欧萱又撑起半边天，扛下年度大戏收视重担。她说：“我最大的挑战就是如何让观众忘记‘月娘’和‘菊香’。”

　　先是《小娘惹》，现在又是35集的《当我们同在一起》，感情线同样又是1女2男，“老相好”戴阳天从《小》相随到《当》，可是，情缘似乎还是续不了，她怀着别人的骨肉嫁给痴情汉黄俊雄。

　　有指，欧萱的角色有“月娘”的影子，她昨早在开镜仪式上笑说：“我起初读人物介绍时，会感觉跟月娘有点一样，不过，她们是不同的女子。”

　　她在《当》中的角色“见虹”是一个肯为家人、为丈夫牺牲的女子。

　　“见虹是坚强的女子，她是顺着家人的方向走。‘月娘’则会去争取、会反抗。”

　　所以，她不担心观众会将2角色混淆，倒是觉得最大的挑战是如何突破“月娘”和“菊香”的框框。

　　“这是我最大的压力，因为大家对‘月娘’的印象太深了。”

　　当然，如何把为父债而去当舞女角色演得活淋活现，也很靠功力。

　　她笑说：“当舞女是陪酒不卖身，不是贪慕虚容，是为了帮父亲还债，我相信观众会接受，不会讨厌我。”

　　而与戴阳天的感情线，仍然是“苦命鸳鸯”，不过，未到最后一分钟，也还不知道会不会就此“缘难续”。

　　监制敏洋说：“剧本还在写，看到34集，最后欧萱和戴阳天能不能在一起，就看观众的反应了，哈哈。”

　　欧萱：我会尽力做到最好
　　欧萱不想把收视压力加在自己的身上，她说：“我会为戏尽力做到最好。”

　　当然，她也不会视奖项为终极目标。今年4月的《红星大奖》，她输给了白薇秀，这次在《当》中又有这么吃重的角色，显然，“最佳女主角”是要往她身上“推”。

　　她笑说：“只要每年都能入围就好了，观众喜欢，对我是一种鼓励，只要观众觉得我有做到最好，他们也看到就够了。”

　　她续称，剧尚未开拍就担心奖项，似乎太早了。

阿姐评七公主　谢宛谕女人恨　陈靓瑄太普通

　　阿姐点评七公主，弹多于赞！

　　阿姐郑惠玉直言，谢宛谕只有性感，男人爱、女人恨；她指陈靓瑄长得太普通了；她也认为刘芷绚胸无大志。

　　阿姐是接受本地英文杂志《Style》专访时，被问及新传媒七公主当中，谁最有潜能成为她的接班人。不过阿姐没有正面回答这个问题，但对七公主评头论足一番。

　　阿姐说，每位公主的个性都截然不同，不过若以演技来说，她认为小娘惹欧萱比较出色。言下之意，想要成为接班人，欧萱在阿姐眼中的条件最佳。
