New Moon Big Walk 2010

On Sunday, Jeanius participated in the New Moon Big Walk, together with Jeanette. It was a fun-filled day for all of us!

Although there was a heavy downpour and the event was delayed, it did not dampen the spirits of Jeanius.

The route may have been shortened, but it was real cool to walk with Jeanette.

We chatted along the way; there was laughter throughout the walk.

Thanks to those who supported the event! =)

The day did not end after the walk for Jeanius. We had a whole lot of fun, and it was definitely a great weekend for us!

东北区理事会设基金 助年老居民支付医药费

副总理张志贤（左一）今早为20万元“东北区-人月牌乐龄保健基金”主持捐募仪式。

　　东北社区理事会与人月牌携手设立20万元慈善基金，帮区内贫困老人支付日常医疗费用。

　　副总理张志贤今早在白沙购物中心附近为人月牌义走活动主持揭幕时，宣布上述计划。

　　他说，随着我国人口老龄化，有必要设立针对低收入年长者，特别是照顾他们保健需要的援助计划。针对东北社理会与私人企业合作成立此基金，他表示欣慰。

　　“东北区－人月牌乐龄保健基金”主要针对年龄50岁及以上，无法支付日常医疗或日间康复服务开销的患病老人。基金是由人月牌捐出10万元义款，再由东北社理会捐出另10万元而成立。

　　东北区市长张思乐说，有些患慢性病老人，即使有保健储蓄和健保双全，也难以支付所有医疗开销，此基金能帮他们减轻负担。

　　他希望此基金起带头作用，鼓励更多私人企业捐款，社理会也准备以一元对一元的方式配合。

　　东北区乐龄人可通过社理会、民众俱乐部、日间康复中心，医院及综合诊疗所提出申请。申请者得是新加坡人或永久居民、患病、月入不超过500元。援助金额视个别情况而定。

　　有3800人报名参加义走，共为东北区6000户家庭筹得40万碗白米（价值8万5000元）。人月牌代言人范文芳和欧萱也将在现场亮相。

‘Entertainment on 5′ Studio Recording

Yesterday, Jeanius had the opportunity to be involved in the studio recording for Channel 5′s talkshow, Entertainment on 5. We all had great fun, and I am sure, Jeanette had hers too.

It was a great interview, so do stay tuned to Channel 5 on 14 July at 8.30PM.

Welcome to those who just joined us! It was nice to see all of you yesterday, thanks for coming down!
